Here's the irony of all of this. Apparently this is caused by google's DRM protection, but people who pirated these apps are able to restore them just fine. People who legally bought them are being screwed over unable to re-download them. Is there something wrong with this picture? I think so!!! Backing up your apps without the need for a backup manager is now the best benefit of rooting for me. A few developers on the Android Market forum are also up in arms because of this issue as they are being blamed (apps are fully compatible) for google's faulty drm scheme. I wrote engadget about this, you guys should do the same to get them to do a story on this. Time for some bad PR for google. In an era where information is so valuable google should take these issues seriously.
