the hardware and software is sure better than iphones. no doubt.
and i realize that you will be able to use "skins" to customize the
interfacedesign. at least the graphics. interfacedesign is more than
graphics as we all know. but i will not say anything about usability
and interaction before i had chance to test it.
but after all.. if you compare the touch pro design to the g1 design...

and i see that you usaīs are used to buy phones from a certain
carrier. in europe you could find nearly every model at every
carriers shop. and if not, you were always free to buy your
favorite phone at any store unlocked (of course more expensive,
but without loosing warranty) and buy the service contract you like.
but since ipone it gets more like in us. manufacturers bind the
phone to a certain carrier. and the contracts bind you for two
or even three years (before it was one year).

btw: will every manufacturer be able and allowed to use android on
their models? or just members of the oha? or will non-members have
to pay a "fee"? how is it with winmobile? everyone could buy it,
couldnīt one?
