It's unlikely that you will be able to exchange your phone indefinitely until the Passion comes out. The fact that you exchanged it for the Eris means that you're stuck with that one. Best Buy doesn't have some special exception rule. They're distributors of VZW phones. The moment you activated your Eris after turning in your DROID was the one and last exchange you will be able to make, lest you pay the ETF. As for re-stocking fees, retailers are allowed to WAIVE that fee. Some will give you a hard time about it, some won't and will just waive it. The fact that you didn't get charged the fee doesn't mean it's a free pass for exchanges. You're in the system for an exchange. I hope you're happy with the Eris, because it's likely you will be owning it for a while. This is why I double-checked after visiting with a store that gave me misinformation!
