This was also the primary reason that I got my HTC Magic from Rogers. If Rogeres is not prepared to update the Android OS for their phones, then I'll be "rooting" my phone and updating it myself. I would prefer not to do this ... if I have to update it myself, then I will not be renewing my contract with Rogers
. I'm sure I'm not the only customer who feels this way!
