I am new to rooting phones. Where can I go to learn more about rooting the moment? I read this info on here but since I am a noobie, it is mostly over my head. I need like a step by step everything list.... explanation to things and what all is needed.
If you root is the operation of the phone basically the same or is it like a Frankenstein phone and you don't know what will happen.

I have 2.1 update 1, s:m900.8.os.de03.....kernal 2.6.29....build eclair.d106.... whatever all that means. Thanks again.
