Re: stock phone pouch, I used a carpet knife to cut a mostly rectangular notch out where the button ends up, and voila! no problem. After a month the hole is a tiny bit frayed but no big deal.
But of course idiot me cut the hole in the wrong side, so the speaker hole is now on the front side of the phone. I don't let it get me down, though.
