It would help if you actually open the location settings options and look at the three. Hero has three separate lines, "Use Wireless Networks", "Location Setting" and "Enable GPS Satellites".
Turn off the first and last. Now, REMOVE check from the second one and READ THE FRIGGIN MESSAGE.
