My app, Cashflow, and many others include features that allow you to backup your data. Cashflow, in particular, allows you to backup to your SD card, and email the backup file off the device. This way, if you lose your phone, the backup of your data is sitting in your mail archive. Restoring is relatively easy. I'm planning on implementing the Google Cloud backup capability as well, which makes restoring data even easier.

You should check to see if your Android checkbook app to see if it allows you to backup data off of the device without having to sync to Quicken.
