Yeah, getting rid of the pouch really improved the battery life! I had mine fully charged at night and by next day 11 am the phone was dead without any activites (no calls, texts, internet, GPS, autosync etc). Now it usually last 2 days.
However, I am curious though - isnt that what the 'lock' button is suppose to be for? So it can disable all key presses, including camera button so that you can safely put it into the pouch? I'm not using it anymore but I mean isn't this the core functionality of the button?
