The Verizon Rep didn't explain any of this when I asked more than once.

Ok, here's the deal with WiFi...

If you live in a city that has "City Wide WiFi" you can get WiFi anywhere... you can also pick up a signal in airports, coffee shops and other "WiFi Hotspots"... using WiFi in your house, when you don't own a Wireless Router yourself, is kinda illegal. Connecting to "Emily1" will just cause Emily to get pissed off, and likely get you messed with if she has any tech savvy... naming her wireless network "Emily1" would suggest otherwise, though she did have the piece of mind to set a WEP or WPA passcode on the router, which is more than most people know how to do.

As for accessing "Linksys"... just because it's an open network and didn't require a password does not make it any more legal for you to leech off their internet access unless they tout their router as a "WiFi Hotspot". If you have any more questions - how to set up wifi in your house, how to set up widgets and such on your phone, feel free to start a new thread, and ask away.
