It's
3GP format and Quicktime and VLC will play it. I recently had to take a video clip of an experiment for my supervisor because his older iPhone didn't do video. I'm not sure, but the newer iPhone may do video. I ended up converting the file to WMV so he could include it on his powerpoint presentation.
