Okay, I found something that works kind of close...
www.appbrain.com/.../com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker which is an AWESOME app/idea. Well worth the $1.99 (first app I've ever purchased actually)
combined with this:
www.appbrain.com/.../com.eldos.ownerinfo
it's not perfect, but it at least does what I needed above.
