So after searching the forums for a bit, most of my questions were answered, still some remain:

1. Is using the phone while it's plugged in/charging detrimental to the batter?

2. When charging, once full the "bolt" indicator on the battery disappears, indicating full charge. Is it detrimental to the battery to leave the phone plugged in beyond that?

3. I absolutely HATE the vibrate function on phones. Disabling it was a simple matter on other phones, but no matter how I try, I can't get texts to stop prompting the phone to vibrate. Is there a master setting to completely disable vibrate across all programs and functions?
