2.2 rom vs manufacturer update?
SO, I'm considering taking the plunge into the world of r00ting.
So I can be a hardcore phone h4xer. (I am joking don't kill me please.)
Anyway in all seriousness I am wondering besides maybe a few dev added features.. how much difference is there between a dev created rom for 2.2 and the actual 2.2 update itself?
I am on the captivate so no real 2.2 update has come out in america yet.
I am not one to be shy or get nervous easy.
It is mostly if I go through the process... I would like for whatever code I am loading into my phone to be as solid as possible.
