I have to agree that the Trident Kracken edges out the Otterbox Defender for the same reasons mentioned above. I own both cases as well as the Verizon snap-on leather case, Verizon plastic holster and shell. The Kracken silicone outer layer feels silky and stays on much better than the Defender. I have recently requested a replacement silicone from Otterbox. Customer service was very quick to respond and is sending a new shell FREE of charge! Both cases are, in my opinion, the best rugged cases for the DX on the market. I recently ordered the holster and two colored skins from Trident just to mix it up and give me another carry option.
