Ok just to muddy the waters abit... there is another version on Open Etna that they posted today. Not sure this will clarify things or not but....
Recently LG released their official 2.2 (froyo) firmware for the LG GW620. (around Jan. 20th in Korea only at this point)

OpenEtna 6.2-rc1 (Just came out today Feb 1/11 Yay ! Still really buggy at this point though )
- Basically the OpenEtna version of above.
- Using modified 2.6.32 kernel from lg's froyo release
- boot v3.0
- System.img V6.2-rc1

I'm in awe of the battery life! That was a huge issue for me in the past and I'll report my findings whenever I have to plug it in again.
