It's been two years since my last Great Dane died, and in the interim I dealt with not only terrible sadness at losing him but also finding out I had a brain tumor and had to have a craniotomy to remove it. In December, I FINALLY decided I felt up to adopting a new dog, both physically and emotionally, so off I went to Gentle Giants Rescue
. My new "little" boy was just over a year old when I got him. He's wonderful...but going from my SUPER laid back last Dane to an energetic puppy...it's been quite an adjustment! Just yesterday he whacked a garden statue with his tail...and it's now in multiple pieces.
I also reside with a Schipperke and a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd and three cats. The Greyhound is the largest and the other two dogs do not have tails.
