I'd suggest hitting this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=475381 and installing the ADP builds he has listed. it'll take a few minutes to read through all the instruction, but I slapped on his 1.32 version then 1.41 (pretty sure those are the right version numbers) to my dev phone. I didn't have to wipe or anything.
Now I can get paid apps, and my browser has multi-touch
