That's a real shame... but the related area I really wish had a multi-select feature is when adding application shortcuts to the home screen. I've installed so many apps that there's a 15-30 second delay to actually display the list of installed apps from which to pick... and since I have to do this over and over for each shortcut I want to add, it's a very frustrating and lengthy process.

Since building the scrollable list of apps appears to be such a resource-intensive task, you'd think the "add application shortcut" function would at least cache the results temporarily so subseqent shortcuts could be added much more quickly than the firstt!
