I have JuiceDefender set to kill WiFi when the screen goes blank--but that wouldn't explain calls dropped within 5 seconds of being placed... Unless there's some kind of proximity sensor turning off the screen? I checked the "Screen On" option in SipDroid hoping that would, well, keep the screen on...
Any other thoughts on what the problem could be?

For the sake of anyone having a similar 'dropped call' experience, I just changed a setting under Audio Codecs: I changed "G722 HD Voice (64kbit)" to "never". And then had a 25 minute conversation with no disconnects!
