I experience issues going the other direction to AT&T customers (1) texts over 160 chars get split, and only the first text is delivered; (2) iPhone (AT&T) customers seem to not receive picture attachments; (3) other AT&T customers not using iPhones sometimes receive pictures, and sometimes receive "message corrupted" notices.

As far as I know, they are sending SMS texts. One friend is sending messages from a regular cell phone and one from an iPhone.
