Thumbs up clearing only the calendar worked for me.

I started getting this error a few days ago. This is what worked for me - and I didn't have to remove the entire Active Sync account.

1. Menu > Settings > Accounts & Sync > Exchange ActiveSync
- Uncheck 'Sync calendar'
2. Sync the Account
3. Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage > All
- 'Calendar' : Force Stop, Clear Data, Clear Cache (if avail)
- 'Calendar Storage' : Force Stop, Clear Data, Clear Cache (if avail)
- 'Calendar Sync Adapter' : Force Stop, Clear Data, Clear Cache (if avail)
3. Sync the account again, get there just like in step 1.
4. Verify the calendar is empty.
5. Menu > Settings > Accounts & Sync > Exchange ActiveSync
- Check 'Sync calendar'
6. Sync the account.

After I did this I had no more errors. I do believe it has to do with recurring Outlook appts and trying to edit them, delete them, or do anything with them from the Android client.
