stef7 Thank you. You shared so much to assist in advancing my understanding of Android 2.2. and my phone. I'm not the sharpest pencil in the pack, so I must admit that I had to read the first 7 paragraphs of your post 2 times (and will a few times again) to fully understand, but I am very interested in learning so pushing myself to get a firmer understanding of what you written is definitely what I plan on doing.
However, earlier, on my own, I stumbled on item 1 below and almost cleared the cache
1). I enter Task Manager, and I select Level2 and Clear Memory once a day
But was afraid to clear it, so I didn't. But I definitely contemplated clearing the cache because I thought it would boost speed based performance as it does with a computer, so I'll go back and clear things out. Thanks again for all your help. And, I'll research TASK KILLER.
