Just wondering that when/if a new OTA comes out we have to re-root or just unlock it and away we go
I'm honestly not sure. The nexus one bootloader is truly unlucked so you can use the command as per the android AOSP guides.

The Desire's bootloader is locked so this doesn't work. The sensation etc are locked and encrypted. As we know the desire still needs exploits to be used to unlock it so it really does depend what terminology HTC are using. Whether its actual terminology or whether their policy is to stop encrypting so we can do what we have on the desire, just using a universally understandable term of "unlocked"...

We;ll need to see it to be certain
