Hide and Seek works very well for pics and vids. Shows on the desktop as a flashlight icon... that works as a flashlight. Open the app for a bright white screen. Tap the menu button three times and a password box pops up. You can hide individual files or all files in a folder. When hidden... no apps find them (other than a file explorer). When un-hidden... they are accessible just like all other pics/vids.
