If you have Froyo, you move apps to SD card using Menu, Settings, Applications, Manage applications. In the 'Downloaded' tab, click the app you want to move, then click 'Move to SD card'. If that button is greyed out, the app doesn't support it. Leave it in RAM and don't try to force things with tools like app2sd.
