You are the man aria777. I just got my aria not to long ago due to the whole AT&T buying out Unicel stock with 2.2.2. I bumped into a few posts on other sites so I knew I was gonna have a mess of stuff to deal with before the root, like the hboot s is on and the firmware had to be downgraded to 2.1. everything went smooth your explanation was really clear step by step. now its time to flash new ROM.

9) Now you should have Android 2.1 and can root following the instructions at How To: Root the HTC Aria (Unrevoked Method) Updated 04.12.11 | TheUnlockr
