Same here.. That P.O.S. HTC SYnc app only works when USB debugging is turned ON.. Not sure why they asked for it to be turned off.
The update was a bighassle to apply because the upgrade required the awful HTC sync (which didn't work with cyanogen) So after a few hours of frustration - I found I had to restore to a stock ROM (used nandroid via Amon's recovery) to able to apply the upgrade.
Which for me is a downgrade from the latest 32a port of Cyanogenmod on Android OS 1.6. I especially miss Root.
Anyone know if this new OS / SPL is rootable? (yet?) I would be so very grateful if someone can figure that out!
