I'm on T-Mobile. I have no idea how to find what firmware I'm on. My last phone was a Nokia 5800 so I'm a bit of a noob with this phone at moment.

- locate the video on your phone press and hold the icon and select copy from the pop up list
- hit the phone menu button & select LAN sharing
- enter the ip address of your computer and then select "access"
- (you will need file sharing in windows turned on and have a shard folder with read and write permissions turned on)
- select your shared folder where you want to save your video
- hit the phone menu button and select paste
btw some attempts failed randomly due to connection errors somewhere. so in windows you can check by right clicking in a blank space in windows explorer in the video file folder & select refresh a couple of times and then check the file size or just leave your phone for a long time and when the wireless lights and the lan lights on your router stop indicating activity then you should be ready to go hope this helps and stuff kies where the sun dont shine because its About as useful as a Condom vending machine in the Vatican

I will try this, you have done a great job. Do you have any idea what is causing this issue? I think this problem could be affecting all Samsung Galaxy S2 owners. I asked on another forum that I used regularly if anyone with the phone could do the experiment. Here's a response:

Just done the same and it does seem to be an issue with the phone. Made 2 videos, one around 900mb and the other 3.2gb. The one at 900mb played no bother on VLC, DIVX and Quicktime, as always mp4's didn't play on WMP. The 3.2gb didn't play on any. DIVX prompted me to play the file on Quicktime which leads me to believe that there must be an issue with the codec compression after a certain video size. The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced its a codec error, or maybe an autostop feature not correctly implimented.
