I am new to this forum. I am SO SORRY to barge in on this thread like that but this forum will not let me post my new thread for some reason and I need help URGENTLY.
Besides, this might also help the person who posted the thread and some others.
I have a little problem.
A couple of days ago, I purchased the Samsung Galaxy SII (i9100). Everything works perfectly, except for one thing:
I cannot connect my phone to KIES on the computer, through WiFi.
(I do not have a USB cable for my phone and have no idea why I did not get one with the phone. So please do not tell me "use the USB cable" cause I am picking a fight with the store that sold me the phone and I won't get the cable soon. I need this connection NOW.
This is what happened:
I went into KIES on my phone. The phone gave me a special URL that I am supposed to type into my browser. I use Google Chrome and Mozilla and I have Windows 7 HOME PREMIUM. When I typed in the special URL into CHROME and MOZILLA, they would not open whatever they were supposed to open.
I have KIES installed on my laptop. When I go into KIES, there is no way I can connect to the phone. I tried using Bluetooth, but KIES said it does not work on phones with Android. This is true, apparently.
Please HELP. I tried picking on the settings in CHROME and MOZILLA and cannot seem to find the problem. At first I figured something was turned ON or OFF. I poked around everything both on the PC and phone.
