I honestly don't see cost as a factor between the N1 and Eris. We're talking about a device you'll have for a minimum of 2 years and much longer if you wanted. When you add up the monthly phone/data fees in all that time, the initial price difference of 1 or 2 hundred bucks is negligible. I mean anybody who can afford a cell phone + data plan on Verizon (!) isn't worried about this.
