It depends both on where you live and how heavy your data usage is ... but if you're at least a moderate data user I'd say that at this point getting a 4G phone is probably a good idea. Remember that you'll have the thing for the next couple of years, and during that time Verizon's 4G network will probably envelop most of the country. When it gets to you, you'll really appreciate the higher speeds.
