I am having the exact same symptoms on with a Motorola Droid.
Did you find a solution to this?
* Various settings got reset.
* The power button only shows "Power off", not Airplane Mode.
* I can't receive incoming calls.
* The phone won't lock, even though I have a pattern set.
* The Home button doesn't take me home.
