Welcome to the forums and Android!

This may be helpful - http://androidforums.com/android-applications/36936-how-safe-find-trusted-apps-avoid-viruses-guide-those-new-android.html

Task killers will actually tend to use more battery than they save. Android is organized differently than other operating systems, let it do its job and it works well. Android apps sometimes fully exit, other times they rely on the operating system to just park them in hibernation and then kill them.

Hope this helps!
