Honestly, I thought that swype was inferior to shapewriter keyboard. Shapewriter is just as fast and:
1: has easier word adding to user dictionary
2: selecting alternative words that are misspelled is easier, also one press of back space button erases the whole word.
3: long hold specific keys adds symbols.
Overall after using both extensively I much prefer shapewriter. Before you preach for swype try them both
