That was somewhat helpful... Fix Broken Power Button successfully switched to having the volume rocker waking the phone but 1) not the face buttons and 2) it wouldn't wake to my unlock pattern by default like it does if I press the power button, it goes to a custom screen the app created or straight to my homepage. I like having a password for my phone.

Any Unlock was very confusing and I couldn't get it to do anything.

The version of WidgetLocker I used was apparently really old. The current one is $3... given how little faith I have it'll actually work due to all the apps I've tried already unsuccessfully, and given how horrible the earlier version I downloaded was, I won't risk losing my $3. Thanks though.


I wish LG didn't change this. I'm sure for people who did not have password on their phones, they didn't like accidentally hitting the front buttons. But for people like me with passwords, they've essentially required I use two hands whenever I want to look at my phone. So. ****ing. Annoying.
