It's $270 for a year vs. $200 for two AND for those of us with NE2, you can't use your credit unless you re-up for two years. So in reality, that nets not a $70, but a whopping $120. That's not so small. It's 4 months of a data plan. That being said, yeah, I like the idea of one year deals and I may entertain such a thing when something arrives worthwhile, though I'm not sure the Nexus One will have the same options that a Verizon sold device does. We shall see.

Edit: Forgot about the Palm offerings added at the end of January, and though they matter little if at all to me, they do provide more choices.
