If you're still within your return window, just go and exchange it. Otherwise, you'll have to call up Samsung support and RMA it. If you have to RMA it, don't send your battery or back cover in unless they specifically say so (they'll probably lose them). When I RMA'd one of my Nexus S phones, it took about 3 weeks to get it back. They did fix my problem (faulty USB port), but they forgot to return my back plate.
unfortunately I'm not within the exchange period, I'll probably have to send it for repairs and pay for it myself.
