Full protection:-

Avast Free - (Normally use avg but kept getting a 'license expiry' warning on a free edition :s)

Windows Firewall - (Previously zonealarm however vista doesn't like it...)

Spybot Search & Destroy - (Honestly i swear by this program)

Malwarebytes

A hacker friend recommended BitDefender2010 said it was the only security suite that caused him problems from the hacker side. Good program £30 for use in upto 3 computers. It had a good UI, quite advanced, didn't let anything run till it was fully loaded (great for kids/computer dummies) and live help available. However caused problems when streaming music/video from Laptop to XBox 360. So I removed it.
