That is not necessarily true although depending on the security settings of your Exchange mail server, you may not be able to connect with the same privileges as an Outlook client.

More importantly, are you sure you posted in the right thread? I was surprised when I saw this thread from 2009 pop up in my control panel. Haven't had the OG Droid for months.
