Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. We only have until the 28th to switch under the thirty day return for Verizon. Also if anyone knows of a bluetooth that is handsfree for the Motorola Droid, that would be a very much appreciated.

Most bluetooth headsets work with the Eris and Droid. Not sure what problems you are having or why you are putting hands free in quotes. The only thing I can figure is that you are looking for voice dialing via bluetooth and unfortunately that isn't going to happen right now. It is a limitation of the Android OS, none of them do voice dialing via bluetooth.
