Unhappy firmware update

I followed the procedures in the documentation, install the driver, the software and connected my phone.... no luck

The app does not see the phone...when I try the Read from Phone option I get a port not found error. Same if I try to Recover from phone.

At first I thought this was Windows 7 issue so I tried on XP SP3 with same problem.

Any ideas.
