Something very strange happened when I tried to install Galaxo 1.6.1.
I followed the steps from
[ROM] Galaxo V1.6.1 (Donut) (Page 1) - ROM Samsung Galaxy i7500 (english) - Frandroid - Actualité de la plate-forme mobile Android and everything seemed OK, no error when I applied the update.zip or restored google apps, but when I first tried to boot the device, it showed a nice android boot screen with a progress bar and it just powered off a few seconds later. The device seemed bricked at this point, the power on button didn't worked. Fortunately after I removed the battery I was able to start it, but the same thing happened, so I booted into recovery mode did a wipe and applied the update.zip once again but this time I didn't restored the google apps and after a reboot it was stuck in the boot screen (15 minutes nothing happened) so I removed the batttery and flashed the original firmware.
I'm not sure what I did wrong, the update.zip is the Galaxo.zip renamed? or do I have to unpack it and get something from there? and the SAMSUNG.tar is the BJ6.tar renamed? Is a nandroid backup required? (I skipped that step).
