Ok so evidently you never lost root through all that. Strange stuff. Anyway if you still want to go back to stock, you would ideally downgrade your hboot to 0.92. The file is at the pcvillecomp site you started out at. Its loaded in hboot as a PB31IMG. Next apply the s-on file again. This time run the Froyo RUU which good files exist for. Then just accept the ota for gingerbread and you should be good.
