An update on gsyncit: This morning nearly all of my Outlook appointments were gone from my calendar, and I can only assume it was gsyncit that did the deed. (Things like this have happened before with gsyncit, but not in a while.)
Although I have written everything back in from Google Calendars (with some loss of details), I'm stopping using gsyncit for the moment. I'm forced back to the default Google sync, and hunting for something better. Also, contact sync is gone, since Google sync doesn't do that.
