I had a relatively new Infuse, about 4 months old, when the charger port suddenly stopped working. Since my husband has the same phone, I tried his charger and the car charger - no luck. At the AT&T store, the sales clerk determined it was the phone not the charger, big shock, but told me I had to call to get a replacement phone.
I had to pay Fed Ex charges to get it next day, and they sent me a refurb that with two weeks has the same exact problem. I'm fed up enough to go back to the iPhone. What a disappointment this phone is.
