I get the same issue but also with 3G data. The temporary fix is to switch on airplane mode then switch it off again. This resets all wireless connection and you can then connect to the internet. Problem is I appear to be doing this almost every time I want to go on the internet if the phone has been in 'sleep' mode for more than a half hour!!!
