If not restore a backup, then you should be able to wipe everything and then flash a new ROM back on your A500.
I only rooted a couple of days ago and had an issue when I flashed Thor's ICS on to my A500 - I hadn't wiped before flashing... I was able to sort it out by booting into clockwork, wiping and reflashing
