I'm afraid that as of right now you must keep the up - down - left - right- center screens.
Now, press Menu, then Themes. This will load all the themes and designs made by other users who want to make them. I'd say press menu again, then search, then for author go search for lemon. Go to HotDock, its the best one I think.
Then to design or add to the layout press Menu, then edit theme. Every tray that is on that page will come up and tap and the one you select you can edit, press menu --> more --> edit and you can change the imaging, borders, backgrounds, etc. There is a lot of customizing that can go on with this home replacement. To get some tutorials I would go to
