For me the decision is simple, I needed Google Nav and VPN support. Now I have it. If you are so satisfied with 1.5, then you have no reason to use the leak or OTA! Problem solved! Nobody is forcing you to upgrade for faster performance/new features.  Chances are you'll be the troll telling everyone the OTA has problems when Verizon releases it officially. |
I think part of it is others antagonizing people who don't feel the need to update. (i.e. being called pansies and offering solutions like "just get a new phone if you brick it").
I could care less what others do to their phones. I would root in a second, but have no real need to upgrade unofficially to 2.1.
edit: not to mention that, at one point, 75% of the threads created on page one had something to do with 2.1.
